Open Studio at Castleton Rec

This week, Castleton Recreation introduces "Open Studio" to the weekly calendar, available for residents and non-residents on Thursdays from 2-4pm. This offering is free in June, then $5/month after that to help replenish supply cabinets.

What's Open Studio? Craft, create, tinker, and tackle projects in friendly company and helpful guidance. Use the time, space, and community company to try a suggested project or start a new project of your own! We'll be here to help with ideas, basic supplies, skill sharing, and community encouragement. All ages - tots, kids, teens, adults, seniors! - are invited to drop in for Open Studio time at the Rec Center, weekly on Thursdays (2-4pm).

Signup is required, but it's free for the month of June! After that, $5/Maker for the month of July to help maintain shared studio supplies. Signup quickly on the HeyGov mobile app or by visiting app.heygov.com and selecting the Town of "Castleton, VT". Click on "Open Studio Pass".

Volunteers assisting with the program may participate for free, being mindful of prioritizing the assistance of others and making sure supplies are available for everyone. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please note that we are unable to allow the use of power tools, open flames, or potentially hazardous tools in the Rec Center at this time.

Donations are always needed and warmly appreciated!

Thursdays from 2-4pm (drop in anytime, but please be mindful that we will be all finished at 4pm.)

Room 8, the first room on the left as you enter the building and walk down the hall.
