Warming shelter at American Legion Post #50 is now closed

ANNOUNCEMENT: - GMP is reporting 65 customers still without power in Castleton. At the height of the outages, GMP had approximately 1,500 customers in Castleton without power. A special thank you goes out to GMP representative Dave Birmingham for his consistent and helpful GMP power restoration updates to the Town's Emergency Operations Center and Emergency Management Director. 

The warming shelter established at the American Legion Post #50 is now closed. There were no walk-ins and no calls for assistance received by the Emergency Management Director. If you need assistance, please VT 211 by dialing "211" on your phone.

If you have no heat in your home and find yourself in need of assistance and calling 211 hasn't worked, please call 911.
