Call to Order 5:36

April agenda was motioned and seconded (M.D, S.Z) March minutes were approved and seconded with the follow changes (N.L., E.P.)

  • Pg 2 Focus Group – add S. Zamecnik and J. Ferguson
  • Pg 3 Ideas Put Forward
    • Offering adult “league”
    • Yoga, cooking, CPP & Babysitter courses
  • Better Communication
    • FB, FPF, website, email newsletter

1- & 5-year plan Update

Focus Group Discussion: One K-2 parent focus, two University aged groups and one community group.

  • E.P. will gather and synthesize all focus group ideas
  • May meeting agenda will work on organizing the ideas in the Pillars, Objectives & goals, only

Director Update – Micah

  • April 2026 update was handed out
    • Program summaries on Summer Camp, Tennis, Sailing Camp
    • Pickleball financial summary was compiled by M. McIntyre and pictures were included
    • A one-day car maintenance was hosted by R & D Automotive
    • Open Gym has expanded to 7 days a week
    • Four FRONT Desk Receptionists are with us for the spring semester
  • 5/6 Basketball on-going discussion – Rec Dir will get needed information from H.S. A.D.
    • September 2026-2027 Town to take over 7-8 basketball
    • September 2027-2027 Town to take over soccer
    • Playing population has grown too large for all players to go to all games
    • School’s rules are set and cannot be changed
    • Bussing has become too expensive for the school
    • School will provide goals, nets, uniforms for each sport, access to CES gym

Front end Desk person

  • Three work study hired students, one by Town, two through the University

Friends of Rec update 6:00 M. Droege

  • April 13 – Dinner for Two fundraiser
  • Cash Bash scheduled for June 6, 2026
  • Bike Rodeo – June 21, 2026
