Unified Development Regulations:
The Planning Commission amended the Zoning Ordinance and adopted the new
Unified Development Regulations on 1/9/2024. Further amendments were made after public comment received on February 15th, 2024.
Summary of changes:
Zoning Ordinance (including Flood Hazard Areas), adopted by the Select Board on June 28, 2021, and Subdivision Regulations, dated June 2, 1986, have been revised and updated into a new document. The new proposed document will be titled the Unified Development Regulations (UDR) (including Subdivision Regulations and Flood Hazard Areas.
The document includes Articles I through XVI.
All changes are shown as: red text for edits and text crossed out for deletions.
The full text may be examined either Online www.castletonvermont.org
or in printed form at the Town Office.
The UDR will then be sent to the Selectboard for approval,
at which time an additional Public Hearing will be scheduled.
