Shirts will be coming in time for the first game. This level will have two teams and four coaches. Grades K-2 registration has closed, but may be reopened to accommodate more participants due to a miscommunication. There are 25 participants signed up and will be split up into four smaller groups for skill work. This level will practice for one hour each session and they will meet on Saturday mornings. Director’s Report The village green ice rink preparation was put on hold due to the warm weather. It will resume as soon as the colder weather returns. The Rec Director is being helped by Kerry Fowler and volunteers from the fire department. There was a discussion about having the parents drop their children of at just one entrance. The Director will email parents to let them know. We are still waiting for the final CVS inspection from the fire marshal. When this happens, we will open the building for more programming. The building is still very cool which is okay for basketball practice and games, after the inspection is completed, we will discuss increasing the heat. Bo reported that the floor washing machine is not running and M. Ryan said he would take a look at it. During the last storm, the building was opened as an emergency shelter for heating and personal hygiene needs. Several issues were discovered which made it necessary to move it to the fire station for the duration of the storm. Issues will be addressed. Bo is looking into creating a business plan for CVS’s sustainability. Bo is networking with other recreation programs to see if any information/processes can be applied to CVS. Bo suggested shared professional space and yoga classes. New Business It was agreed that the Commission & the CVS Coalition would submit the petitions to “rescind their vote to sell the CVS building and hold it in Town possession for a period of three years” to achieve or nearly achieve economic sustainability. M. Clifford will get Rec on the January 9th select board agenda. Adjourn 7:30 So moved – A. Niklasson, M. Ryan
